Acoustics surveying on Louisa Lake

I've worked at Harkness since 1999 as a biologist with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. My first visit to Harkness Lab for work was in 1994 as a research technician working for Nigel Lester. My primary role is to support MNR and collaborative research projects. I am also responsible for the maintenance and analysis of long-term databases held by the Lab such as the Opeongo Creel Census, fish monitoring datasets, meteorological stations, and limnological data.

Principle areas in which I provide analytical and data management support include:

  • GIS and spatial analyses
  • Application of hydroacoustic assessment techniques
  • Database and application design and development
  • Management and analyses of high resolution telemetry data

Education

  • 2005 M.Sc. Zoology - University of Toronto
  • 1993 B.Sc. Marine Biology - University of British Columbia
