The ‘Log Lab’

The iconic symbol of Harkness is the Log Lab. Built in the late 1930's with pine logs floated down the lake from the North Arm, the log lab served as the centre of living and research in the early years. The building is now named after F.E.J. Fry for his early leadership in establishing fisheries research here in Algonquin Park.

There are many photos of staff in the log lab or group photos of staff with the log lab as background.
