Hello. I am currently in my first semester at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in Environmental Management. I have had a wide variety of experience with the Ministry of Natural Resources, local conservation authorities and other environmental programs. I am inquiring about possible summer job opportunities for students passionate about the environment. If so, I would be very interested in applying when job postings become available.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello,

I want to inquire if there are any graduate positions currently available for potential MSc students. I applied at Trent University for Winter 2014 semester and I have a background in environmental protection having worked as a scientific officer. I am interested in applying for graduate positions when they become available.

    Thanks,
    Joy

      Hi Joy,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the delay in responding. It may be best to write to Dr. Mark Ridgway directly. There may be graduate opportunities coming up in the future.

    Hello there,
My name is Hannah Britton-Foster and I am a Biology student interested in summer employment opportunities. I understand that applicants are selected for interviews through the Summer Experience Program. Nevertheless I'd like to express, in advance, my explicit interest in working at the Harkness Research Lab for the 2014 summer season. I am working toward a career in field biology, taking courses focused on freshwater systems (e.g. Limnology, Icthyology, Aquatic Ecology, Restoration of Freshwater Systems). Working for the MNR last summer encouraged me to re-apply for further opportunities within provincial government. I am a certified Pleasure Craft Operator and PADI Rescue Diver, passionate about aquatics. Please let me know if any steps outside of the SEP process exist in your student employment process and forgive me for perhaps coming off as overly keen!

    Thank you for your consideration

    Hannah Britton-Foster

      Hannah:
Sorry for the delay in responding - we're only now catching up on website admin items in the new year.
Thank you for email regarding summer employment. The student positions will be posted at a later date in the winter and its through that portal where you submit an application... not directly to us at Harkness.
Send along your cv to our address at Trent University.
