Welcome to the Harkness Laboratory of Fisheries Research ~ 2011 is the 75th Anniversary ~ We're making plans!
Harkness is a field station focusing on ecological research. We serve as a base of operation for research by government scientists, university faculty and graduate students. We're located on Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada.
Harkness is one of Canada's oldest field stations. It's been a centre of excellence in aquatic ecology research since 1936.
The 74th field season for the Fish Lab is now underway; (1936-2010) ~ get going for 2010.
