First Years at Costello Lake

The first years of field research were not based on the shores of Lake Opeongo. That site was being developed. Research was instead based out of the Highway 60 construction camp located at Costello Lake. To find this location look at the map of directions to Harkness and you'll see Costello Lake at the start of the Opeongo Lake road. Now this site is a picnic area.

We have many early photos of the Costello site.
